The JEnable program is currently at beta version 0.8. It has been tested on a Linux system using JDK 1.3.1 and a Windows system using JDK 1.4 Beta 2, and is being used by the author for internal development. It's designed to operate in a safe fashion, with changes discarded if an error occurs. Given the nature of the processing being performed, though, I recommend that you backup your source code before trying the program.

The open source license used for this software allows full reuse and redistribution, but does not provide any warranty whatsoever. All use is strictly at your own risk.

The link to download a jar file with the full source, class file, and basic usage information is here: Download JEnable Jar.

The JEnable freshmeat.net project page offers the option of anonymously subscribing to new release notifications. If you run into problems, have ideas you'd like to see included, or are interested in developing JEnable further, you can email me directly at dms@sosnoski.com.
