JiBX 2.0 work has been repeatedly delayed, as more and more of the features initially planned for 2.0 have been added to 1.x releases. This doesn't mean it's been forgotten, though; 2.0 is still an essential part of the JiBX development plans. It will involve the following areas:

• Binding definition format
• Binding compiler rewrite
• Runtime changes
